Rather than just show up, play background music, and hope for dancing at your company party, we are going to get as many people as possible interactive!  The following is a small assortment of games which can be incorporated into your event.

Musical Chairs Scavenger Hunt
This is probably the most interactive and most requested game for company parties.  We start off with 10-12 people seated in chairs on the dance floor.  An item is called out and each participant runs out into the audience to obtain that item.  Items can include an ATM receipt, something with the word Tennessee on it, a paper clip, a business card, etc.

Each time an item is called out, a chair is removed, thus eliminating one of the participants.  The fewer the participants, the more difficult the items become.  Additionally, each participant may only obtain one item from each guest in the audience (thus the same person doesn't give them everything they need the entire game).

Word Association
Two teams will go head-to-head. You can do men against the women, accounting against sales, management against non-management.

Both teams are given a topic, then each team has to call out a word associated with that topic.  For Example, if Movies was the topic, you could say associated words like theatre, film, "Shrek", etc. Team 1 starts, then Team 2 responds, and we continue until a word is repeated or someone stalls for more than 2 seconds.

Signature Game
This is an excellent way to break the ice at the first of a company party.  Each person is given a sheet with various lines to get signatures with someone meeting the designated item.  Items may be born in {month}, played in a band, wears glasses, has always lived here, etc.  This game encourages people to talk to a variety of people they might not normally speak with on a daily basis at the office.
